President’s Executive Staff

The individuals listed below are members of the President’s Executive Staff. As members of the college’s senior management team they report directly to the president with news, initiatives and results from their respective departments.


Walter CrockerWalter Crocker, interim director, Liston Campus

As interim director of the Liston Campus, Crocker provides overall administrative leadership and direction for CCRI’s Providence campus. Duties include strengthening security and safety, maintaining good community relations, supervising all personnel, serving as liaison to the Student Government Board, and assisting the appropriate college vice presidents and deans in academic and student service programming and policy formulation. wacrocker@ccri.edu

Bill LeBlancBill LeBlanc, director, Office of Institutional Research and Planning

LeBlanc leads the Office of Institutional Research and Planning. He is responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, interpretation, distribution and reporting of information useful in planning, decision-making and policy formulation. All of these activities support both administrative and instructional functions of CCRI. leblanc@ccri.edu

Dennis MooreDennis Moore, assistant to the president and director, Marketing and Communications

Moore has leadership responsibility for developing and overseeing policies and practices in the areas of marketing and communications, publications, government relations, advertising and community visibility. He also provides counsel to the Office of the President in supporting the college’s presence, image and influence with broad public and internal constituencies. dwmoore@ccri.edu

Lela MorganLela Morgan, vice president for academic affairs

Vice President Morgan brings the vision and leadership necessary for providing quality educational programs and courses for CCRI students. Her responsibilities include articulating high expectations for quality outcomes and providing systems and support necessary for faculty and staff to carry out their roles. Responsive to growing demands for accountability, Vice President Morgan oversees multiple task forces and committees that contribute to expressing program and course outcomes and to assessing how well CCRI meets its stated goals. Additionally, she facilitates meaningful connections with Rhode Island communities and businesses in order to foster a greater understanding of current and projected workforce needs. lmorgan@ccri.edu

Ron SchertzRonald Schertz, associate vice president for student services

In his role, Schertz focuses on increasing the retention and graduation rates of students. He directs all college services and activities that encourage students to reach their full leadership potential while achieving academic and career success. Schertz works with all student support groups including advising and counseling, enrollment services, career services, student success centers, student life, athletics and student health. rschertz@ccri.edu

Bob SheaBob Shea, vice president for business affairs

As the college’s chief financial officer, Shea oversees the development and management of the college’s budget and is responsible for 250 personnel within the division of Business Affairs, including accounting, information technology, human resources, payroll, physical plant, bursar and campus security. He plays an active and collaborative role in strategic planning, policy development, forecasting and resource analysis for the college and also serves as the college’s fiscal liaison to the Board of Governors. rshea@ccri.edu

Robin SmithRobin Smith, dean, Center for Workforce and Community Education

Smith leads the newly renamed division (formerly the Division for Lifelong Learning) that offers programs in customized training, community education, literacy education and personal enrichment courses. She is responsible for programs and courses at four campus locations and represents CCRI in the community as a member of the Providence Cranston Workforce Investment Board, Newport Skills Alliance and the Davies Board of Trustees. rasmith2@ccri.edu

Deb ZielinskiDeb Zielinski, administrative assistant to the president

As administrative assistant to President Di Pasquale, Zielinski is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the President’s Office at the multi-campus community college. Beyond her administrative role, Zielinski serves as the president’s liaison to the college community, plans major college events, serves on various college committees, and is a resource for faculty, staff, students and the general public. dmzielinski@ccri.edu
